Welcome to Time To Bloom Therapy. I provide online therapy to clients in the UK and Europe and am committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information with care and confidentiality.

Under UK GDPR, I rely on different lawful bases depending on why I collect and use your personal information:
 

  • Contract (Article 6(1)(b)): To respond to enquiries about therapy, assess whether my services may be suitable for you and take steps towards entering into a therapy agreement at your request.

  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): To send you my newsletter, The Nudge, if you have chosen to subscribe. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter.

  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): To maintain the security and functionality of my website and manage relevant website communications, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.

  • Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)): Where processing is necessary to comply with applicable legal requirements.
     

Where optional cookies or similar technologies require consent, I obtain this through my website's cookie banner.

5. Newsletter

If you choose to subscribe to my monthly newsletter, The Nudge, I collect your email address for the purpose of sending you newsletters and occasional updates.

I use Mailchimp, an email marketing platform, to manage my mailing list and distribute newsletters. Mailchimp processes your email address and information relating to your subscription and interactions with my emails, such as opens and clicks where tracking is enabled.

Mailchimp may process personal information outside the UK, subject to applicable international data transfer safeguards.
 

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every newsletter. Once you unsubscribe, you will no longer receive marketing emails from me. Mailchimp may retain limited information where necessary to maintain unsubscribe records or meet legal obligations.

6. Website Hosting

My website is hosted by Wix, which provides the platform used to create, manage and operate my website.
 

When you visit my website or submit an enquiry through my contact form, Wix may process personal information including your IP address, device and browser information, website usage data and any information you submit through the form.
 

Wix may process or store personal information outside the United Kingdom, including in Israel and other countries. International transfers are subject to applicable adequacy arrangements or appropriate contractual safeguards, as described in Wix's Data Processing Agreement.

  • Google Workspace: For receiving and responding to enquiries and other administrative communications.

  • Mailchimp: For managing newsletter subscriptions and sending my newsletter, The Nudge, to people who have opted in.
     

These providers process personal information in accordance with their applicable data protection arrangements.
 

I may also disclose personal information where required by law or where necessary to protect someone's safety.

9. Data Security

I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information collected through my website against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.
 

These measures include password-protected accounts and devices, two-factor authentication where available, and the use of trusted service providers with appropriate data protection and security arrangements.
 

I take particular care when handling sensitive information shared through enquiries, using secure communication and storage arrangements where appropriate.
 

However, no method of transmitting or storing information electronically can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

 

10. Data Retention

I retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or where I have a legal or professional reason to retain it.
 

  • Enquiry information: If you decide not to proceed with therapy, I will normally delete your enquiry information once this becomes clear. If I do not hear back from you, I may retain your enquiry for up to 30 days after our last contact to allow time for a response. Information may be retained for longer where there is a legitimate reason to do so.

  • Contact form submissions: Information submitted through my website contact form is managed in accordance with the enquiry retention arrangements above, including deletion from Wix where applicable.

  • Newsletter subscriptions: Your email address and subscription information are retained while you remain subscribed to The Nudge. If you unsubscribe, you will be removed from the active mailing list, although Mailchimp may retain limited information for unsubscribe records or legal compliance.

  • Client records: If you begin therapy, your clinical records are normally retained for seven years after therapy ends, as explained in my separate Client Privacy Notice.
     

You may request deletion of your personal information at any time, although certain information may need to be retained for legal or professional reasons.

 

11. Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have certain rights regarding the personal information I hold about you. These include the right to:
 

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information I hold about you.

  • Rectification: Ask me to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.

The information you provide will be used to investigate and respond to your complaint and will not be used for marketing or unrelated purposes.
